Our Slackline (like a tightrope, but slack, instead of tight, well not that slack…) arrived today. So, we had to try it out straight away. It’s going to take a lot of work for anyone to be able to balance on it though.
Sailing is being the main event here this summer. We are down at the sailing club 3 times most weeks – Wednesday pm for club night and Saturday and Sunday afternoons for Bee, Mip and JJ’s groups. Matt has now done his level 2, JJ has just moved up from his Optimist to a Topper, and Bear has just started in an Optimist. Bee and Mip are on a week’s course this week. In the picture below, from left to right, Bee in a Topper, Matt and Bear in a Heron, Mip in a Topper and JJ in an Oppy.
It was that time of year for the Kelmarsh history festival. This year we decided to camp nearby and go for both days (we saved 2 hours driving doing this, but of course spent at least a day packing and unpacking!) and Matt’s brother came and camped with us. We had a few added challenges – we left a bag behind so I had to go shopping for extra layers for shivering children, and on day 2 the car battery died, but it was overall a much enjoyed weekend.
