Matt’s 40th

We had to postpone our plan to go to London for the day (Matt still limping along from a calf sprain) so instead we went to the Natural History museum at Tring. It was a lovely place – just so full of amazing creatures –  and they provided drawing equipment for the children.

After the museum we stopped off at Berkhamsted castle. A good place for a family photo. We gathered everyone together, set up camera and timer, and took a batch of photos.

And then Bee noticed that we hadn’t quite gathered everyone. So we found the missing one and started again…..

…and home for profiteroles.

Video of sailing below – have made it private, so you may need to mail us to view it.

…and the second was Wrest Park’s World Wars event.
This week we had a history walk at Priory Country Park with a ranger and also visited Osterley Park and house in London. (This was a last minute plan _we had to drive Matt to a meeting nearby). Anyway, we had a lovely time in the beautiful grounds and looked around the house, which was covered in decorative plasterwork. Beth, though, loved it and wanted to know if we could visit houses like that once a week!!

Today sailing started for Bee, Mip and JJ. It was very windy so they went out in the boats but without the sails up.
