The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Read the above book a few weeks ago. It had been recommended by a relative many years ago so thought I should look at it. Just as well it is a short book or I wouldn’t have finished it. One of my most disliked books. Totally pointless and meaningless. No idea why it was recommended!

  1. Sorry you didn’t enjoy Prime of Miss Jean Brodie – probably the wrong generation for you. Granny loved it – well it was her world – and I remember reading it as a teenager and being enchanted. However – surprised to hear that you have only just discovered Winifred Foley – now that, as you say – magical. Her Forest of Dean stories are wonderful.

Have not read a good book for ages. Read The End of the Affair by Graham Green recently but was very disappointed and have not had anything really gripping from the library for ages. Had lunch with Pat yesterday – she says she had two very good books for Christmas so am looking forward to a good read soon!!

Collected car on Thursday – very lovely.

Enjoyed catching up with all your news on the blog. How do I print off photos? And can I copy them and forward them on? If so – how does one do this?

Will try to call you for a chat over the weekend. Too cold out here for much more right now!

Fancy my little boys being engine drivers already. Better than an “ology” any day!!!
